So, literally the morning after I finish my finals, I wake up with a fat-face. I stumbled out of bed, went to the computer, put my hand on my face and then ran to the bathroom to see a balloon staring back at me. An ugly balloon.

I went to my family doctor across the street with a scarf wrapped around my face. He gave me a prescription for a chest X-ray and some anti-biotics. Told me to book to get blood-work done so he can figure out why this happened. So I got an X-ray and had to stand with my chest against a screen, naked in a robe. What we will do to be healthy.

The after a questionable sleep, I woke up around 5:30 unable to sleep due to swallowing problems. I made Daniel take me to Emergency, where the guy said "You don't look too swollen", and I said "compared to what?" I'm just kidding I didn't say that. I didn't say much because his jaw-line wasn't visible either so. An hour or two later the doc came to see me, a nervous young man who repeated things a lot, and told me to take the medication if it bothered me and to stop if it didn't, but he did get a second opinion which made me feel better.

They don't know what it is. I asked for Dr. House but he wouldn't see me. Maybe some kind of stones in my saliva glands, which rarely happens I guess, so it happening on both sides is even weirder. Or some kind of bacterial infection. Or viral. Great.

Then Alicia suggested I might have the Mumps if I haven't had the vaccine. And I don't know if I've had the vaccine. Death is rare, which is comforting.

On the bright side, I've almost finished Season 1 of Lost.
