I don't think I've ever gone to a "party" party on New Years in my entire life. New Years Eve always meant board games and family functions. Since I moved out, when I'm home for the New Year that generally means I wasn't for Christmas, so that's our immediate family Christmas gathering. A quarter after twelve (a quarter after one Regina time), Daniel and I left my sister's place, filled with her husband's family, after watching Dispicable Me, joining in on the latest gossip, and catching the last couple minutes of a documentary on a guy who went to India. I finished my pottery pieces while I was here, glazed them in the kiln, which is great to finally have them completed. One of my favourites had cracked during the bisking process, so we didn't glaze it, which is dissapointing, but what can you do.
2010 was a pretty good year. I got accepted into the faculty of Education, which was the factor of whether or not my life would continue the university route or something else. Was married -- though that happened Dec 31 of '09 it's practically '10. That was kind of a big deal. More people moved from Regina. Let me make a list: Nic, to Montreal. Tim, to BC. Lucas, to Yellowknife. Tim and Melissa, to Saskatoon. Alicia, to Tanzania, and then to BC. I did some camping and cabining. Daniel went to his first NHL game. We got lots of bikerides in. I barely worked. Took up longboarding. Did pottery for the first time. Went to Puerto Vallarta. Had a one year anniversary. Got an 89 in one of my English classes, so far my record in my University career. Taught a roudy bunch of grade 6/7's for the first time. Made a blonde friend named Megan.
That about sums it up.
So happy 2011.
