Well it's been a couple weeks. I suppose I could update. Well, since the lake the things that have occurred are: work, Tiff's wedding, and the departure of Alicia. Yes, my only brunette best friend (I've always been more attracted to blondies for besties) has fled the country in a romantic calling of dreams and educational pursuits. I am happy for my little Sly friend. With my new blonde friend Megan in the uprise, I am hoping it's kind of like slight of hand where I won't notice Alicia is gone because of my shiny new friend. Ha, just kidding. But I am not as sad that Alicia's gone then I am happy that she is achieving things she has always wanted to achieve. Our friendship may be at a distance for.. indefinitely, actually, but she served as a truly magnificent and crucial friend for the years we were able to share together. It is not the first best friend I've said goodbye to, not the last, as all friendships dim and fade and blossom and rekindle.

Okay, okay, that's enough sentiment for one paragraph.

School starts on Wednesday. I might go buy school supplies today, which is always exciting. New pencils to sharpen, crisp loose leaf, binders pre cracked/written on/ripped. Eager mind ready to learn. I'll give it to November. Till midterms, and then you'll probably hear complaint after complaint. But, vainly, I hope I'm wrong about that.

Labour Day today. I managed to give my shift away after working on the weekend. I am quite happy about this.
