Well, a week was spent at the lake. Little Fishing Lake. It is a little lake, and it has fish in it, so it was quite adequitely named. It was a good week, despite the weather not cooperating and the amount of lazying around that feels like the equivalenet of an extra five pounds I didn't want. Sometimes sacrifices must be made. It was nice to be with family all together for more than a couple hours on the odd weekend we make it to visit; to do some boating and fishing, hours of card playing, as well as the reading of a book and a half. Perhaps my favourite part was not having my cell phone or a computer available.
Soon we'll be back to the grind. Summer is on the brink.
In other news, a trip is in the making for December. Belize, as recommended by my well travelled grandparents, is now being researched as a possible stay.
Good read: "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Afghan author Khaled Hosseini.
