da da da

We got our wedding pictures back today. I'll probably have them up for display on FB shortly. Nic, I guess you're out of luck. Or borrow someone's FB address. Or get FB.

I'm building a giant converse shoe out of cardboard in my sculpture class. I've had a few trains of thought during this building process. First of all, I can't believe I'm building a giant shoe in a University class. Second of all, it's sweet that I get to build a giant shoe in a University class. Third of all, I can't believe I spent money to build a stupid giant pointless shoe out of cardboard. Art is something else. I love it, absolutely, and most days out of the year I'll spend defending it. However, as I walked through a gallery space that was actually really neat, and I spent time looking at my co-students working hard on their projects while mine looks like a heap of garbage, I thought: man, creating is cool and all, and many a political and controversial and thought provoking image has been made but. Is there something better we could be doing with our lives?

Probably not.

Job still hasn't ate. He's still alive. Chinese fighting fish can go like 2 weeks or longer without food though. Get used to your environment already. I have to figure out what a utopian education would look like. Should be interesting.
