Five things I would like my son or daughter to know what I've learned about them in the 9 months of growing that we don't count as age:

1. You like apples, or don't like apples. Either way, they make you squirm.
2. You're shy. When you kick it's for me alone because the second someone else comes along you're quiet. As well, during ultrasounds, you never allowed us to see your face.
3. You sleep a lot, which worries me every now and again, but then you have a nice cut to the right ribs that settles me down.
4. Hiccups, hiccups, hiccups! For a while it was close to three times a day!
5. Your little heart is connected to mine.
