Do you know what I hate? I hate it when people say things about how corrupt the upcoming generations are. Blah blah blah, stupid kids these days, blah blah blah, always on their phones, blah blah blah, idiots, etc.

Like, how the _____ do you think kids got the way they are?

John Locke said that we're all born with our minds a blank slate. Tabula rasa. What are kids without the parents and society who educate them? And so we blame the youngest, the most precious, the ones with the blankest slates for their contributions toward consumerism/lack of empathy/eroding ozone/decline of intelligence/poverty/political apathy/suicide/bullying/racism/violence/sexism/gangs/etc/etc/etc/etc and pride up ourselves when we recycle a plastic bottle or make claims of how we aren't enslaved by our cellphones.
