There's nothing quite like a sneeze, inevitable, when your back is out. Unnecessary tensing of muscles, arterites clog, the normal near-to-full coverage of nasal matter is swept aside for the primary concern: to prevent pain of bones fighting against muscular restraints.
I yawned this morning, and my back went out. I was sitting in the office chair. Mid-yawn, something went, in my back rib-cage. It's happened before, but usually when I'm doing something strenuous. Not yawning. I guess it comes with age and lack of regular exercise. It felt like my ribs in the back popped out of place and if I looked at my back, or felt it, the allignment would be rigid. Like a transformation into a werewolf, or from endo to exoskeleton. I did look. Not quite as dramatic as I had hoped. Anyway, now when I inhale or move my back hurts. So you can imagine the damage of a sneeze.
And we have a soccer meeting tonight, to decide whether or not we want to rig our next two games to lose and finish high in the low category, or to try to win them and finish low in the high category.
Seriously?
